You Don't Know That

Abby Stewart 2017

I cant' fall asleep, I toss and turn in my bed,
I'm thinkin about the school yard, can't get you out of my head,
I'm tired of being pushed around,
And you bringing me down,

I'll take my chances with the backdoor, but today is not my day,
I see you laughin with your friends, headin my way,
And it don't take too long at all, to cut me down again,

But you don't know what its like,
Or how many times I've cried,
All the light, has turned to black,

You don't know how it hurts,
Your cuttin me with words,
Theres a ragin storm, I'm holdin back,
But you don't know that,
No, you don't know that,

That classroom clock never seems to move, and I can't concentrate,
Cause I know when the last bell rings, you'll be waitin by the gate,
And I still haven't figured out,
What this is all about,

But you don't know what its like,
Or how many times I've cried,
All the light, has turned to black,

But you don't know how it hurts,
Your cuttin me with words,
Theres a ragin storm, I'm holdin back,
But you don't know that,
No, you don't know that

Ya call me another name,
But this time ain't the same,
I stand my ground, and I hope you back down

You don't know what its like,
Or how many times I've cried,
All the light, has turned to black

But you don't know how it hurts,
Your cuttin me with words,
Theres a ragin storm, that I'm done holdin back,
But you don't know that,
No, you don't know that
No, you don't know that
You don't know that
